Scientists have discovered a new dangerous virus, a strain of which resembles the SARS virus. Coronavirus was first discovered in 2013, in the spring, on the Arabian Peninsula. It was at this time that he provoked an outbreak of the disease, which led to a large number of deaths. The strain was called MERS - coronavirus of the Middle East respiratory syndrome, cases of which, to date, are recorded in European and Eastern countries.
MERS is provoked by the appearance of coronaviruses, which are widespread throughout the world and cause common SARS. A new type of coronavirus is called MERS-CoV “Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus”. The name of the virus is translated into Russian as “SVRS-CoV”. In the Arab countries, MERS-CoV provoked severe forms of the disease in adults, many of which were fatal. At the moment, the virus is poorly studied, because the strain has recently been discovered.
Previously, Middle Eastern respiratory syndrome coronavirus was defined as nCoV, an unknown coronavirus. The virus was first identified in Saudi Arabia in 2012. The main symptoms of MERS-CoV infection are fever, inability to take a full breath, lack of air and a tearing cough. Most people who were sick with the virus did not recover. A small percentage of those infected had a moderate severity of respiratory tract damage. Now scientists and doctors are trying to find ways to become infected with the MEPC virus and identify ways to transmit the disease. In the United States, this virus has not been detected.
The strain MERS-CoV has significant differences from similar coronaviruses that were discovered earlier. The virus differs significantly from SARS syndrome, the outbreak of which was recorded in 2003. Coronavirus MERS-CoV has certain similarities with coronaviruses, which were previously detected in mentally ill people.

This is a detachment of viruses that have pointed corollas in the form of a crown on the surface. These viruses are often found in the world, so many people are carriers and victims of coronaviruses. Typically, these viruses cause moderate to severe upper respiratory tract infections. There are cases when the coronavirus infects animals.
Many coronaviruses infect a particular animal species or group of related species. SARS coronavirus infects both humans and animals, especially raccoon and ordinary dogs, palm cimetins, monkeys, cats, and rodents. International organizations and medical laboratories such as the World Health Organization, as well as the Disease Control Center and other government organizations are working hard on the study of MERS syndrome. There are private structures that study the behavior of the virus and its effect on various organisms.
The results of such studies will help establish risk factors for humanity and develop drugs and treatment regimens to combat the MERS virus. To protect yourself as much as possible from becoming infected with the virus, try not to travel to countries where outbreaks have been reported.
WHO recorded the almost simultaneous appearance of two non-standard MERS viruses:
1) Avian influenza virus (H7N9);
2) Middle East Respiratory Coronavirus Syndrome (MERS CoV).
Recently, we have recorded the appearance of two completely different viruses with a high pathogenic effect and a rapid rate of exposure to the infected person. Both viruses have super-persistent potential regarding the process of their evolution and spread. The first outbreaks of the disease were noted in 2012, in the spring. Of the 44 laboratory-recorded cases, 22 were fatal. About 80% of the total number of cases are men aged 24 to 94 years.
